It was a great week. Full of choral work, discovering the musical culture of other countries, making new friends and unusual experiences.
The hosts warmly greeted us and from the first day they provided nice surprises. We were invited to the planetarium for a great journey through the galaxies. We visited an amazing sports complex and a magnificent amphitheater. There was also time for sea bathing, sunbathing and tourist trips (Varna and Neseber).
An important and interesting element of our stay were workshops conducted by the masters of choral crafts (Kahaber Onashwili - Georgia, Narine Davtyan - Armenia). Excellent choirs from Georgia and Moldova performed at the festival. It is a pity that so little was singing a cappella. As part of the festival, the days of individual participating countries took place: Armenian Day, Georgian Day, Moldavian Day and Polish Day. Folklore groups, choirs, soloists, singers, and instrumentalists performed. There were also two competitions ("Star Voices of Kamchia" and Choir Competition). All this with irreplaceable grace and expression was led by the irreplaceable Natalia Barabanszczikowa and translated with finesse and elegance by Justyna Dziuma "Honorary Canto Choir Member".
The week was filled with presentations, workshops, concerts, meetings with new friends and singing together. We are happy that we could be at your place. Special thanks go to Mrs. Stanka Shopova - President of the Association for Sustainable Development of Bulgaria for inviting us to this great festival. We hope to see you again!
With a musical greeting
Marian Szczepański - conductor of the CANTO Youth Choir of the Music Schools after Czesław Niemen in Włocławek, Poland
